The Department is divided into six divisions: administration, fleet maintenance, streets, sanitation, cemetery, and utility maintenance. The City's water and wastewater utilities also are managed through the Public Works Department, although the Water Treatment Plant and Wastewater Treatment Plant, respectively, are managed in separate departments.

Administration

The Administration Division consists of the Public Works Director and supporting staff. This division is responsible for the oversight of all department operations, and plans the daily work of the Public Works Department, sets the schedules of work crews, and plans special projects as directed by the City Manager.

The offices of the Division are located on Shop Drive off of Rutherford Road.
