Purchasing

Overview

The Purchasing Department is responsible for the purchasing and warehousing of supplies for the different City departments. The City has a centralized purchasing system which provides for purchase of items used by all City departments. Items are purchased in large quantities to take advantage of savings. Items are stored at the warehouse and resold in smaller quantities to departments needing such items. Purchase of items to be resold is performed through the City's Internal Service Fund, which is designed to be self-supporting.

Vendors are seen at the City Warehouse by appointment.

The City sells surplus property through the online auction service GovDeals.
