Celebrate an Appalachian delicacy during the 15th Annual Livermush Festival in Marion, N.C. on Saturday, June 3, from 5 - 9 p.m. in downtown Marion.
Visitors will have a squealing good time at this year’s event featuring a Livermush-themed Food Truck Rodeo.
Each participant in the rodeo will create a few livermush dishes that visitors can purchase and vote for. The food truck with the most votes will receive a Livermush Master Trophy for their efforts.
Last year's Food Truck Rodeo winner, Mama T's Rolling Snack Shack, will return this year to defend their title as Livermush Master.
Pig callers and squealers are invited to test their lung capacity at this year’s Pig Calling and Pig Squealing Contests.
Each contest is limited to 10 participants, so individuals interested in registering for each competition are encouraged to do so at the beginning of the event. The winner of each contest will receive a $25 gift cards and a Livermush Festival t-shirt.
Live music will be provided by Wiregrass. Wiregrass is a band of five members and their influences come from every musical avenue. Although Bluegrass is what brought them together, it's not all they do.
A variety of family-friendly activities as well as an assortment of arts and craft vendors will be on site at the event. No matter what visitor’s interest, they’re sure to have a squealing good time at this year’s Livermush Festival.
