Tax Collection

The City of Marion Tax Collector works under the administrative direction of the Finance Director.  The primary responsibility of the Tax Collector is the billing for and collection of all tax money due the city, as well as the enforcement of timely payments and delivery delinquency notices.

PROPERTY TAXES

Tax bills are mailed annually around the first of August, and are due on the first day of September. If payments are not received by the first of January the account will become delinquent.
New property owners who do not receive a tax bill are encouraged to contact the Tax Collector to obtain a copy. Please also notify the Tax Collector of any mailing address changes. A lost or undelivered bill does not excuse a late payment.
