- Maintenance of all City-owned properties,
- Maintenance, marking and cleaning of 31.60 miles of City streets,
- Sidewalk repairs and construction,
- Curb and gutter repairs and construction, and
- Storm drainage
All public right-of-way mowing of City streets and NC DOT streets within the City limits is performed through a private contractor.
The Division works on many sidewalk and curb and gutter construction and repair projects throughout the year. A list of prioritized projects is available from the Public Works Department at (828) 652-4224.
